Using 6-EV-120 in a 48 V golf cart

  • Series wiring: connect four 12 V blocks in series to achieve 48 V nominal. Ensure all blocks are of the same brand, model, age, and state of charge before assembly.

  • Charging: use a charger matched to flooded lead‑acid with temperature compensation; recommended float is 2.27–2.30 V/cell @ 25°C when the pack is fully charged and on float duty.

  • Cycle life: expect ≥ 850 cycles @ 80% DOD (HRESYS data) under recommended charge/discharge profiles and ambient conditions.

  • Temperature: respect ambient ratings—discharge down to −20°C, charge between −20 and 45°C, and store between −20 and 45°C for best life and performance.

Safety and handling

  • Flooded lead‑acid batteries contain electrolyte; wear eye and skin protection and avoid spills.

  • Charge in a well‑ventilated area; never charge damaged or frozen batteries.

  • Keep terminals clean and tight; use insulated tools to prevent short circuits.

  • Equalize charges only as recommended by the manufacturer; avoid deep discharges and prolonged storage in a discharged state.
